Hope

I am so thankful for hope.
But as for me, I will always have hope. Psalm 71:14
There’s always hope
There's always hope.  Sometimes it is tucked away, but it is there if we just look for it.

Blessings,

Thankful for changes

 Time & pressure.....

I don't know about you, but I am really looking forward to what God is changing me into!  It must really be spectacular because I've been using a lot of that time and pressure.
As Andy Griffith used to say, OOOooeey!  It must gonna  be a doozy!

Blessings,

He has a plan

Last week I was checking my email and found the most wonderful post from Abby over at Little Birdie Blessings and asked if I could repost it here.  I hope it speaks to you as much as it did me!
The timing of your life is unique.
You are a woman handmade by God
to fulfill wonderful plans of His.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11  (NIV)
Just think..... of all the millions of people on this earth, you are unique and like none other.  God made you that way, and He does not make mistakes.  He has specific plans for your life, you need only to ask Him to show you what it is, and ask Him to help you follow His plan.

He's the only one that knows the future and sees the whole plan laid out ahead.  How better to leave our day to day plans in the one who knows our future, than to try to get through it on our own strength.
I hope you enjoy the graphic Abby made for you to help you remember this promise.

Blessings,

Hope

The last day of January...finally.  This is a long month to me...it's the month after Christmas, the month of beginning again, of wondering what lies ahead, of cold days and nights...I have to be honest, I am often glad when January is through.  It is a triumph to me to be on the other side of this month.  Today I share one of my favorite verses.  It is one that gives me a hope.  It speaks of what God says He will do and that is enough to hang onto.  In fact, it is what this blog was named after.  What about you?  What are you hoping for in your future?

Believe....it is such a powerful word.

To Worry or Not to Worry

Are you a worrier?  It is a struggle for some.  I knew a gal who told me once, "I have leaned more toward the worry side. My husband is not a worrier (like me), so sometimes I felt like I needed to worry more (for him) just to make sure we worried enough.  Isn't that silly?!  It did get better (with age), but my goodness what a fretful waste of time."
How about you?  Are you a worrier or have you overcome?!
Blessings,

The doormat

Years ago I had a doormat that said, "Go ahead and walk over me.  Everyone else does."  It was funny.  I laughed.  There have probably been times where we have been like that door mat - either a "oncer" or one who continued on in that role for awhile.  You know, it's not easy to change, but it is possible.  God intended the best for our lives.  His word says that He did not give us a Spirit of fear, but of Power and Love and a Sound Mind.  So, next time you go shopping for a door mat, get something like this.

Blessings,

Keep It Simple

Keep it simple.  So often, we think the answer needs to be so complicated - usually it is the simpler way.
Blessings,

Beauty

 Be encouraged:
Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground.
Did you know that oak trees are a sign of endurance and strength?  Think about the most beautiful people you know - how long did it take them to get that way?  How about you?  How long did it take you to get so beautiful?
Blessings,

Vision

Where there is no vision, the people perish.
                                           Proverbs 29:18
What's the vision that God has given you?  You have thoughts and ideas...He created you to add beauty to this world...to fulfill His purpose.  What is it that you love to do?  Do it.  You might think about creating a vision board.  It helps give meaning to your ideas.

Blessings,

Do something nice...

Do something nice for yourself today - read a magazine, that book you've been wanting to read, call a friend,  take a long bath, watch a movie... Remember to take care of yourself. What is something special you do for yourself?
Blessings,

Riches

You are richer today if you have laughed, given or forgiven.

Rapunzel tendencies

 http://www.fanpop.com/spots/fairy-tales-and-fables/images/1004991/title/rapunzel-photo
There is much to be learned from fairy tales and nursery rhymes.  Rapunzel is one of those characters.  I used to have Rapunzel tendencies.  I waited for others to rescue me rather than thinking about what I could do to resolve the situation. That makes for many long nights in a damp tower, not to mention having really tangled hair.  How about you?  What fairy tale or nursery rhyme can you relate to?
Blessings,

Calling all girlfriends

If we could see ourselves as our friends see us, then we would truly realize how special we are.  Isn't this true?
We can be so hard on ourselves sometimes.  So, if that's the case, go and call one of your girlfriends and get a dose of encouragement.  I just wanted to say, too, you are such an encouragement to me!
Blessings,

Take a Walk

The key to success is to do what makes us happy...the key to failure is trying to please everybody else.
It feels good to walk down our very own path.  Happy Walking!
