Blessings,
I found the most wonderful tutorial that combines the beauty of fall with shabby chic! Look at these gorgeous gourds and pumpkins that have been painted and dusted with glitter. Aren't they wonderful? Andrea at the Cottage Market was the one who came up with these beauties. Please go stop by her place to learn the "how to", and just say hello.

It was fun
Saturday was a full day. The day started off with a group of six women talking about what it means for us to restore our soul. We had some great discussion. We realized that some of what restores our souls are the same while others are very different. We then got onto the subject of the fun things we used to do like to do. Do you remember Kick the Can?
Wasn't that fun?! How about jacks?! I LOVE(D) jacks.
If I could sit my body on the floor, I know I would still love it. However, I am "jacks challenged". I expect that much hasn't changed. I was also a closet barbie doll player - for that matter just a closet doll player all around. I loved dolls then and I love them now. I used to set up all of my paper dolls on my beds and use the card stock folders they came in as their homes. I had quite a set up on my bed. It looked like a virtual paper doll town.
Well, yesterday, I got to play some more - I know what yur thinkin'. No, it wasn't paper dolls. (Only because I don't have any at the moment). I met some friends at a corn maze. Was that fun or what?! We had to look for clues and mark them off.
As it was, we were in there for an hour and a half and wegave up, err, I mean we were hungry and went to eat at a FABULOUS restaurant. I read where several people got all of the clues. I think they're lyin' cause we didn't find them all. Maybe I'm just corn maze challenged! Yea, that's it. What a fun day it was. I have to say that at the end of the day my soul did get some refreshment. How about you? What do you do to refresh your soul?

Happy Pink Cookies
Happy Pink Saturday to all of you Pinkies! Don't you just love this day? I do! I have been collecting pink pictures for this event. But, for today, I actually have something pink that I took pictures of at home and that is these yummy and amazing cookies. I wish that I could say it is my recipe, but it's not! These cookies are the BOMB! Before I go too much farther, I want to give credit to where I found these. Please go over and visit Trisha at Glass Slippers . She is so amazingly talented at being creative, baking and a beautiful person. (Aren't we blessed to know so many wonderful people via blog land)?
I have been looking for a good sugar cookie recipe for a long time and finally found one - this one! You know, nothing much comes between me and a good cookie. Have I shared before that I heard you wouldn't eat as many if you just froze them and took them out to thaw when you wanted one? Well, apparently, the person who came up with that idea never ate a frozen cookie! Frozen cookies are us! They are good! And, I enjoyed every single one of them - frozen!

Here is one of the pictures of the cookies that Trisha made. She had made these for a friend's birthday. Trisha, my birthday is in February..... (I hope you know I'm kidding...sort of...no, really) =0)
Linking up today with Beverly over at Pink Saturday.

When I think about Cindy Adkins, this quote comes to mind: Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same. Cindy has touched the lives of so many of us. Now it is a time that we can touch her with our prayers for she and her husband, Ralph. Please visit Cindy's website to learn more and keep her in your prayers. If you like, you made add this button
