My husband and I have been taking the 13 week Dave Ramsey course of Financial Peace University. It is learning how to beat debt, build wealth, find bargains, invest for the future, give like never before, and much more! In about the 2nd or 3rd lesson we learned that in a relationship one is a Nerd and the other one is a Free Spirit. Well, guess which one I am. (I’m curious what you answered). I am the free spirit and I say that with a smile. I LOVE being a free spirit, but I don’t think nerds like it much. (I know – secretly they are jealous because they don’t know how to have fun). =0) I can remember in years that past that some people referred to me as a free spirit and I thought, “really?” I loved it then and understand it now. I am. I like being a free spirit because we just want to have fun. I do, however, have nerd moments but those aren’t too often. Quite honestly, I need a nerd to keep me balanced. Can you imagine if the world only had free spirits and no one to bring us back down to reality? And, can you imagine a world full of nerds (heaven help us) never ever having fun?! May it never be! Last weekend those of us attending the Dave Ramsey class decided to have a rummage sale to make money to put towards our financial future. I didn’t make much money, but I sure had a lot of fun – free spirits can make just about anything fun. Besides that, they don’t call me the Yard Sale Queen for nothing! How about you?
