As a late bloomer, Miss Lily Day, felt frustrated that others in the garden had already bloomed and that everyone else was bringing beauty and purpose to the world around them. Just when she thought it was too late, all of a sudden she blossomed into the most beautiful lily. Yes, it was late in the season but it wasn’t too late for Miss Lily Day to burst forth with her own creation. She suddenly realized the words of English novelist, George Eliot,” It’s never too late to be what you might have been.”
